Hi y'all! My name is Liv Teforlack (they/them). I was born and raised on the east side of Los Angeles and moved to San Diego to attend  UC San Diego. I'm proud to call myself a first-generation college student with a B.S. in Education Sciences and a B.A. in Black Diaspora and African American Studies. During my time at UCSD, I fell in love with not only the idea of being an educator but also the commitment to being a role model, mentor, and guiding leader for students in a time where children feel like they lack full autonomy of their personal and academic destiny. I am passionate about centering culturally responsive pedagogy, Black liberatory frameworks, and lived experience.
